“The Family Portrait”

“The Family Portrait” is exactly that. Commissioned by a family with three children, the piece is composed of three layers: A diptych in the first layer representing the parents, a triptych in the second layer representing the children, and light panels in the third layer.  All five members of the family came to the fabricator’s studio one day  to participate in laying out the glass. Originally set in the back yard of the family home in Oregon, within view of the swimming pool, it was moved to the new mountain home in Sun Valley, Idaho. It is now adjacent to the front door,  welcoming all visitors.
